About Us

 Erin Toolson, SHRM-SCP, MS-HRM, is an HR professional who is passionate about employee engagement. She is currently employed with Church & Dwight Co., Inc. as a Sr. HR Generalist in which her primary responsibilities are to partner and collaborate with Site leadership to promote employee engagement, enhance, and strengthen employee skills, and help achieve financial and operational goals through effective HR procedures. Prior to Church & Dwight, Erin was employed by Sisecam Wyoming, and Genesis Alkali as a Human Resource Business Partner. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her five children, backpacking in the mountains, reading, and traveling the world. 

 Lisa Jones-Pearson is the Human Resource Manager with Union Telephone Company. She been in HR for the past 16 years and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed. She is very passionate about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and educating herself and others. She has a supportive husband and family who encourage her to reach for the gold in any endeavor. In her free time, she likes to bring life back to old pieces of furniture and any other treasure she finds that needs a little TLC. She loves to paddleboard and hike and is always up for an adventure no matter how big or small.  

 Kelly Brink, PHR, SHRM-CP, has served on the board since the chapter’s inception. She has held various positions including Treasurer, President-Elect, President, and now Past President. She has over 28 years’ experience working in Human Resources in Sweetwater and Uinta Counties, with the majority being in local industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and is currently the HR Manager for Simplot in Rock Springs. She enjoys the opportunities that come along with a career in HR including working or networking with great people internally/externally and the never-ending chances to further develop skills and knowledge. When she’s not working, Kelly loves spending time with family and friends and supporting her grandkids as they participate in activities/sports. 

  Amanda Debernardi, SHRM-CP, PHR is a Human Resources Professional with 18 years of HR experience in both the private and public sector. She is certified through the Human Resource Certification Institute as a Human Resource Professional (PHR) and through the Society for Human Resource Management as a certified professional (SHRM-CP). Her background includes benefit administration, performance management and employee relations. Amanda is currently the HR Manager for Black Butte Coal Company. Amanda has served on the HDHRA board in many capacities since the chapter’s inception in 2014. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys golfing, hiking and spending time outdoors.  

 Kara Beech, BSBA, SHRM-CP  started her career in healthcare over 20 years ago. She has worked in a variety of rolesincluding medical records, quality improvement, infection control, medical staff services, healthcarecompliance, human resources and marketing. She currently is a Regional Coordinator for the Universityof Wyoming Center on Aging and helps implement chronic disease management programs across thestate. You might also know Kara as the owner of Beech Creative Group where she is the Executive Director of the Wyoming Nurses Association and the Business Manager for the Wyoming Center for Nursing, and the Manager and Promoter of Sweetwater Speedway. Kara has a passion for helping others and also was the founding President of High Desert SHRM.
