About Us
The High Desert Human Resources Association Chapter of SHRM is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management; the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Founded in 1948 SHRM currently represents more than 210,000 individual members and has more than 550 affiliated chapters and members in more than 100 countries.
The chapter was formed in 2014 as the High Desert Human Resources Association. The chapter hopes to bring together professionals along the I-80 corridor from Rawlins to Evanston. Meetings held monthly and are primarily held in Rock Springs. The membership would like to be a resource for human resource professionals in the area and small businesses who are unable to devote an entire position to HR.
High Desert SHRM was the first Wyoming Chapter to be awarded the 2017 SHRM Pinnacle Award for their work on workforce legislation and education.
